Developed between 1950 and 1965, the area is evenly balanced with detached and attached homes. Recreation

The proximity to the Rideau River allows residents to walk, jog, and bike on scenic pathways as well as enjoy the lovely parks situated along the shoreline. The neighbourhood is home to the Billings Bridge Shopping Centre which contains 90 stores including a Walmart, grocery store, bookstore, several electronics shops, 3 banks, LCBO, Bulk Barn, pharmacy, beauty salons, post office, a variety of fashion retailers, and many other shops as well as a full food court. There are also numerous restaurants located throughout the area in a variety of cuisines to suit every taste and budget.

Students have access to excellent schools near the Billings Bridge/Heron Park neighbourhood.
