The Westboro Beach is a favourite attraction for locals as well as residents of other parts of the city.
The Dovercourt Recreation Centre offers programs and classes for all ages from art to dance and sports, as well as tennis courts, a swimming pool, fitness centre, and much more.
The active Westboro Community Association hosts Westfest, a free outdoor music festival, in June with activities for the whole family as well as a yearly garage sale, open-air theatre performances, campfires, and other neighbourhood bonding events. A community garden, sports fields, playgrounds, splash pads and wading pools, basketball and volleyball courts, and ice skating rinks are some of the outdoor recreational offerings of Westboro.
