Qualicum – Redwood Park

Qualicum-Redwood Park is a mature community with beautiful homes, generous yardage, and lovely tree-canopied streets located near the Queensway Carleton Hospital. Most of the homes are detached single-family dwellings and were developed in between 1962 and 1972. Prices for detached houses range from $350K-$750K and attached homes vary from $250K-$300K.

There are several parks in Qualicum-Redwood Park. Morrison Park features large sports fields, play structure, a splash pad, tennis courts, and gazebo while Valleystream Tennis Club and Park features lighted public tennis courts. Qualicum Parkette, Mohawk Park, and Cowichan Park are also smaller parks in the neighbourhood. The Qualicum Graham Park Community Association offers programs and activities for all ages including afterschool club, yoga, Pilates, Tai Chi, etc. as well as yearly events to bring neighbours together including a Community Day and Winter Carnival. The Step-by-Step school of Dance and Starr Gymnastics are also located in the Qualicum-Redwood Park neighbourhood.

The Bayshore Shopping Centre is the closest large mall to the Qualicum-Redwood Park neighbourhood and with over 200 shops and restaurants, residents are able to meet most of their personal shopping needs in one location. Anchor stores include Walmart, Winner’s and Hudson’s Bay and the mall also offers a wide selection of retailers for apparel, electronics, books, toys, gifts, sports gear, beauty salons, and much more. There are several restaurants sprinkled throughout the mall and a full-service food court for quick meals. IKEA Ottawa and the shops of Pinecrest Mall are also a short drive away and also offer several large businesses including a Michaels, Chapter’s, Sears Home Store, and many others as well as restaurants, bars, and coffee shops.

Residents will appreciate the many quality schools located in the Qualicum-Redwood Park neighbourhood including St. Paul High School, Academie de la Capitale IB World School, Grant Alternative School as well as two tutoring services, Grade Expectations and EZ Group Tutoring. Although there are no churches directly in the neighbourhood, the Vineyard Ottawa Church, All Saints Lutheran Church, and Paroisse St-Remi are situated close by in neighbouring communities.
